Tuesday 10/20/09

Mr. Runyan here and I am at home recovering well.  Surgery on Friday went great.  I was at the hospital from 8:30 am until 6pm.  Most of the weekend I was resting and getting over surgery.  This week I have been working on my physical therapy getting strength back in my knee.  It is really painful.

I hope everything is going well at school.  I trust everything is going well and you are learning more than I can imagine!

Today was the beginning of the second week of school.  We played table points for the first time.

We have one day of the week left.  Today we started on all 50 states.  I am surprised that by the end of the year I will know almost all if not all of the countries in the world.  That is exciting!!  I want to work really hard so that I can do really well on the countries.  The math today was interesting how you could find out information of a graph without knowing much about it.  I can’t wait until tomorrow, it is the last day of the week.

Great second day.  We started the day reviewing our first day in Mr. Runyan’s class.  It seems like things will be okay.  We did a pre assessment for geography where we tried to list all 50 states.  It was a lot harder than you think, you should give it a try.  We are going to be staring on learning the states tomorrow.

Today was the first day of school for this school year.  It was really exciting to see everyone again and some of the students for the first time.  I am really excited for this year because I feel like we can get started right away with everything.  We will be starting geography  tomorrow (Thursday).  Great first day everyone!!
